#TealTips With Barry M & Ovacome

#tealtips
About a month ago we were contacted by Barry M to let us know that March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month. The reason Barry M were the ones telling us about it is that they're teaming up with Ovacome to run their annual #tealtips campaign again this year. The idea is that by wearing Gelly Nail Paint in Greenberry, we’ll get women and girls like you talking about the Ovarian cancer symptoms you should be looking out for. Throughout the whole of March they’re also donating 50% of proceeds of each £3.99 purchase (from barrym.com only) to Ovacome!

Evil Eye

I'm not sure why this design idea popped into my head. I think Emma has done an evil eye design in the past, and this could be an exact replica, but I just got a feeling so went with it! We could all use a little extra help warding off bad spirits so why not adorn our nails hey?

Coralicious

Whilst having a rummage through the Helmer I found a polish that I wasn't sure I'd used before, or at least not for a long while. Coralicious* by Rimmel London just sort of called out to me, partly because of the awesome name but mostly because of it's glowing colour. Frustratingly the camera doesn't quite pick up the vibrance of this polish as it catches the light so you'll just have to take my word for it.

Barry M Spring Gelly Swatches

CREAM SODA
Today we've got the last of our Barry M swatching trilogy, it's the Gelly's turn! First up is one I can see us using a lot, Cream Soda*. It reminds me a lot of Coconut which I think is why I love it so much. White polish is a perfect base for nail art but it can look a bit stark, off white or cream can be even better. Imagine this soft off white shade with a beautiful floral pattern over it. Heavenly summer nails are on their way ladies (and gents)! This polish has better colour density than I was expecting and this is just two coats.

PINK LEMONADE
Soft shades are highly prevalent in Barry M's Spring releases and the Gelly's are no different. This one is Pink Lemonade*, a beautiful soft pale pink. It's pretty and girly but not babyish so you don't end up with Barbie nails! The perfect accompaniment to your best summer dress, or even the first step away from the winter darks - beautiful with an all black outfit too! The formula is the usual reliable Gelly base, and this is just two coats again.

BUTTERSCOTCH SUNDAE
Butterscotch Sundae* is another pale beauty, but this one had a nude tinge to it. I can't decide if it has a hint of yellow or very subtle peach, or something in between. Anyway, I predict Emma will love this one with her paler skin, but with the dark skin around my nails it just doesn't look right on me. The polish is lovely and I do like the colour but I just don't think it suits me as I tend to lean towards a browner nude.

ACAI SMOOTHIE
Last up is Acai Smoothie, the only stand out colour from the bunch. This one has a much stronger colour so doesn't really match the others but it was quite nice to see something a little different. The shade is still soft so lovely for Spring but I do feel that we've seen similar Barry M's in the past, including Fondant* in the last Spring release. It's pretty and I'll definitely be wearing it but it doesn't scream out to me for some reason.

All these are available now online or in Boots and Superdrug stores across the UK. They cost £3.99 each but keep an eye out for those 3 for 2 deals!

Which ones have made it onto your wishlist? Cream Soda* is defo my fave!

Love,
Jo x
