We had our work 'End of Summer Party' this week. End? What?! Summer can't be over yet, I'm not ready!! I figured that there has been a significant lack of summer or festival themed nails on the blog this year, so I should mark the 'end' of the season with something bright and fun. We just got our hands on this summer's new Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Superdrug exclusive shades - perfect!
I've always been a fan of the Complete Salon Manicure collection, the formula is so smooth and the brushes are brilliant. These five shades did not disappoint! From left to right in the top image we have; Barracuda*, Crush on Blue*, Grape Gatsby*, Tulips are Talking* and Pink Ping*. My favourite, unsurprisingly is Barracuda*, it's such a beautiful mint. Crush on Blue* is a close second, but I'm not brave enough to wear blue nails very often!
The new formula now incorporates a keratin complex to help strengthen your nails, along with a growth treatment - this is definitely something that appeals to me at the moment! When I have polish on it keeps me from picking at and damaging my nails, but I'm also trying to strengthen them, which means no colours. This is a perfect compromise!
I loved this mix of colours so much when it arrived I couldn't bear separating them to swatch individually. I hope that you see get a good sense of each of the colours with this mani - I just couldn't resist using all five at once! I was expecting this design to take forever, but it was actually fairly simple. I just used a striper brush to apply the polish colours and drew a quick aztec design with my Barry M nail pen. It's not the neatest I've ever done but I'm in love with how it turned out - now I just wish I could do this on both hands!
The collection of colours in this range are great, there is such variety (48 in total!), and they start from RRP £6.99 so don't exactly break the bank. The polish quality is well up there and I'd say they're worth a couple of extra quid compared to some of the cheaper polishes.
We hope you're enjoyed the last glimpses of summer - until next year sunshine!
