We are incredibly behind on our blogging at the moment. So much so that I now have a box of samples that need to be tested and reviewed - usually I can't wait to break into packages! Clearly going back to commuting to an office every day and planning a wedding have been seriously eating into my nail time. Not good! Anyway, a little behind the curve, but today we have Barry M's latest collection - Coconut Infusion...
This new collection is a gorgeous mix of spring shades, but it's not just new colours on offer. Barry M have come out with another completely new formula to add to their collection! They rarely go wrong on the formula front so we were keen to see how this one fared.
Coconut Infusion Nail Paint is a 'unique blend of coconut water and coconut oil which gently hydrates and nourishes nails whilst delivering a beautifully smooth, gel-like glossy manicure'. That's a bold claim for the team at Barry M, but we're very happy to say that we love it!
The formula is thick, smooth and super glossy. I'd say it's most comparable to the Gelly range, but slightly less sticky. The colour density is awesome, all these swatches are two coats but a fair few of them could have easily been one. And as for the glossy finish, I haven't added any top coat in any of these photos, can you believe that?! They're so shiny! We haven't had a chance to test out the wear of these yet, or the claims that they hydrate your nails so we'll report back on that soon.
I have to admit I wasn't super excited by the colour mix in this collection, but only because it seems quite similar to some of their other recent releases. Alice at One Nail To Rule Them All has done quite a few dupe comparisons so if you want to compare to your existing collection check out her post - here.
Going clockwise from the nude at the top we have; Skinny Dip*, Bikini*, Starfish*, Laguna*, Sunkissed*, Surfboard*, Aloha*, Tiki Hut*, and Flamingo*.
There are four nudey shades in the collection - Skinny Dip*, Starfish*, Sunkissed*, and Tiki Hut*. It's great that Barry M have included a range of neutrals as it means there's much more chance for everyone to find a shade that suits their skin tone. My favourite as a base for nail art is Skinny Dip* but on it's own I would definitely go for Starfish*.
The remaining five are made up of three pastels - Bikini*, Laguna*, Surfboard, and two brights - Aloha* and Flamingo*. My favourite out of these has to be the pale blue, Laguna*. I've got a soft spot for a pale cornflower blue, it reminds me of the forget-me-nots that have just popped up in the garden, a sure sign that spring has finally arrived!
Overall we love this new collection, another winner from Barry M! We're just wondering if they'll be extending the range any time soon! All these shades are available now in Boots & Superdrug for £4.99 each - but make sure to look out for special offers!
