I don't know about you guys but I am so busy at the moment. Working in retail really takes its toll at this time of year. Christmas shoppers can be crazy! I am still managing to get into the Christmas spirit a bit though and am excited about all Christmas nail designs that are popping up. I just wish I had more time to concentrate on doing them. Lucky Jo has got some time off of work at the moment but I know her days are filling up pretty quickly.
You know how much we love floral nail designs here at Dahlia Nails but it can be tricky to make them work for this time of year. This is especially difficult for me as I love bright and pastel florals which can look a bit odd at this time of year. So today I decided to experiment a bit with shades that I don't tend to go for: beigey browns.
I can't say that I have convinced myself to be honest. The base shade doesn't really suit me at all even though I love the look of it in the bottle. It may be the flowers on top, I'm not sure. It's hard to pinpoint what it is that I'm not liking. But hey-ho, I gave it a try and now I know to stick to the brighter florals. Even in winter!
Shades used (all Barry M): Dark Side of the Shroom*, Sprint Finish*, Plum on Baby*, Kiss Me Quick*, Slip Stream*,
Hopefully life will calm down a bit soon but I'm not holding my breath!
