O Suzi Mio & Monochrome

I have got no idea how to define this mani. It's not really aztec but it's got that kind of feel to it. It was more of just a doodle and hope for the best type design! I usually reserve designs like this for summer and pair them with a super bright polish for a festival feel. Today it dawned on me that if I used a darker shade and added a touch of gold I could bring the style with me into winter yay!

The dark purple shade is O.P.I - O Suzi Mio* from the Venice collection, you can tell that it was absolutely made for this time of year. I used off-white Yoga-then-Yogurt* from Nicole by O.P.I for the two accent nails. The detailing uses the 'juice' of a Barry M nail art pen and a thin striping brush. Finally the dots are Barry M Gold Foil Effects and I just used a tiny dotting tool. This mani did take a while to put together but I enjoyed creating it as I just went with the flow and didn't have a particular end result in mind.
I absolutely adore a monochrome accent mani mixed with a touch of colour, I'm so glad that using a darker shade has worked so well. I'm already planning my next design, will have to mix it up a bit! Maybe something simple in monochrome with additional florals, hmmm...

Love,
Jo x
