The design was created in support of England's rugby team who unfortunately went on to lose the crucial match to Wales, clearly my nails didn't help as much as I'd hoped! Anyway, the team are back in action tomorrow so I'm posting again today to help drum up some support. We tweeted this mani with the tag #weartherose and it was picked up by O2 and actually projected onto the roof of the O2 (Millennium Dome) in London - absolute madness!!
The polishes I used are O.P.I - Red My Fortune Cookie*, Barry M - Red Wine, Spring Green and Cardamom* and Models Own - White Light. I opted for little roses and England flags this time as I've done the England Rugby emblem rose before (a couple of times!) and to be honest I wasn't sure I could recreate it as well as the last one so didn't want to try! I painted both hands with this design and got lots of comments on my nails at the pub. After the game I was trying to hide them though!
This red is perfect for England colours but I forgot to use a base coat, rookie error, and still have one red nail on each hand, oops!
We've got another must win match this weekend so I'll be supporting the team again, and maybe even doing some praying, but I'm not sure I'll be doing my nails for it again!
Are you watching the Rugby World Cup?
