It was a rainy miserable weekday when I sat down to create today's mani, so naturally I went for two of the brightest colours I could find. I know Emma is a big fan of autumn but I can't help feeling a little sad when summer draws to an end and the days start getting shorter. At least I've got a little bit of sunshine on my nails!
This design was created with a trio of Barry M polishes - Cotton*, On Your Marks* and Greenberry. I also used chevron vinyls from Nail Mail UK. I was aiming for a very different mani, something with diamond shapes and stripes but once I started it sort of transformed. After I'd completed the two middle nails I decided to continue the pattern on the rest of them. The photo above makes me wish I'd lined up the chevrons so they matched up to form a nice zig zag but that could have ended up looking really messy individually!
Greenberry is a favourite that's here to stay and features all year round. The speedy pastels are new this spring and have been heavily used over summer but I won't be surprised if they crop up occasionally over the winter months too! We're getting our first look at Barry M's autumn/winter polishes later today and can't wait to test them all out :)
