We seem to have reignited our love for Aztec designs recently! Clearly trying to squeeze them in before summer is officially over for another year. Hopefully we've spaced them out enough for you so you're not too bored... Anyway, here's another for you!
Today's aztec design is created with mostly GOSH polishes from their Spring release. The base is Pretty Ballerina*, the white is Snow White* and the turquoise is Sea Foam*. I wasn't sure where I was going with this one when I started which is always dangerous. Once the base was dry I added random stripes of turquoise and white using a small brush.
The aztec design was draw on using a small brush and the 'juice' from my black Barry M nail art pen which is on the verge of running out eek! I was planning on doing the same design on each nail but as I finished by pinky I remembered how bored I am of that same simple aztec I always revert to. I decided to wing it and mix it up a bit on the other nails. Not usually a good plan but I reckon I managed to pull it off this time! I kept it fairly simple as I didn't want to go overboard and regret it, the striped background adds a bit of extra depth too.
I'm really enjoying painting aztec designs at the moment and that's helping me create nails I'm very happy with - always a nice bonus when you spend so long slaving over something!! This is my second favouite design for a long while (beaten by last week's floral aztec!) and I'm just disappointed that I ran out of light so had to photograph it in the lightbox. Please ignore the dull grey tinge!
