Summer Studs

I've had a little pot of bright studs sat on my Helmer for a few months now that I haven't got around to using. I ordered them as I'd seen a mani somewhere on Pinterest that inspired me but as I couldn't find the original source I didn't want to recreate it. So I just looked longingly every now and then at the little pot wondering how best to use the studs. Cue today's summery look.

I decided on white as a base to really make the neon studs pop. I went for Barry M's Cotton* which is my white du jour at the moment. I love the gelly range anyway and this one applies smooth and even with full coverage in two coats. I've had it for a while now too and it hasn't glooped like a lot of my other whites.
The studs are from Born Pretty Store and were kindly gifted to us for review. They are such good value for money though that I will definitely be ordering some more bits and pieces for my collection. I love using stus every now and then for a simple yet super effective design. If you fancy treating yourself to some bits and bobs feel free to use our 10% off code: DHNW10
I love how this turned out. It was so easy to do but looks stunning. I was going to mattify the white before applying the studs as I know they would stick in the matte top coat but I stuck to glossy in the end. I used tweezers to place the studs and stuck to the bottom of my nails but I think you could try this look in so many ways like having all white nails and then one accent completely covered in the studs. Or tips. Or just one stud on each nail. The choices are endless!!

Hope you're enjoying a happy, sunny Sunday.
