Today's design was one of those I started with no idea where I was going to end up. Despite a bit of a tantrum mid way through I managed to stop myself taking it off and starting again and actually ended up with something I quite like. Although I have to admit I didn't like them until I took photos and realised that as a whole they actually looked a bit better than I thought. They are definitely not my best work, but not entirely a nail fail!
I used three Barry M polishes for the base - Greenberry, Chai* and Bikini*. I applied the base freehand using the polish brushes. I knew I was adding a design on top so it didn't have to be super neat. I wanted to test how well I could do it without the faff of striping brushes. It wasn't too hard so I may use a trio of colours as a base more often!
I had planned to do a more intricate design on top but my nail art pen just would not play ball so I ended up with dots. I used Barry M - Cotton* and a small dotting tool.
As I said it's not my best work, but the three colours make this simple design a little more interesting. It's definitely something I would wear on a day to day basis and think I could even manage to paint my right hand!
