Simple Summery Spots

You can't beat a good dotticure, especially with some neon pastels thrown in! I've been doing quite a lot of dots recently so I've had to try and think of ways to mix it up a bit. There are unlimited colour options, and different sized dots of course, but the style can get a little samey. I thought I'd test out different sized dots on each nail, I wasn't expecting it to be any good but was pleasantly surprised!

Both polishes  are from Models Own, the base is Misty Grey and the dots are Sun Hat* from the original Polish For Tans collection. Neon and grey go so well together as the contrast really bring out the neon brightness. You'll have to trust me that the dots appeared even brighter in real life. One day I will find a camera that represents the neon glow in true form!
Neons can be a bit much unless you're at a festival, but using a softer base and neon as an accent makes them so much more wearable. Fun summer nails that aren't too garish, perfect! I wore this design to a summer BBQ and I couldn't stop looking at how the dots caught the sun. Neons and sunshine make me happy, the beer may also have contributed!

  1. I really need to get my hands on some of the Polish for Tans collection - I love the look of Beach Bag, Cocktail Hour and this Sun Hat!! This is a lovely colour combo and I love what you've done in alternating the size of the polka dots :) x
