Two factors contributed to me buying Topshop's Green Room: the cute packaging and that it reminds me of Barry M's Greenberry, one of my all time favourite shades. Both are rubbish reasons to buy a polish (I think). Buying a shade because it looks like another is a bit dumb really although actually, to the trained eye, this isn't as bright as Greenberry. The packaging is also a silly reason but look at it!
The polish applies quite sheer on the first coat but by coat two this was opaque. It isn't as bright as Greenberry which is a bit disappointing but I suppose I don't really want two identical polishes. I went for a matte finish which I am still quite enjoying but I actually prefer it on pastel shades for summer.
I added some little dots to create interest. I used a black and white nail art pen and then a tiny dot of Models Own's Bora Bora.
This is such an easy look for summer. I love this shade and I would probably buy this again based on the packaging alone as I am a silly nail polish hoarder who's a sucker for rose gold!
Do you ever impulse buy polishes for silly reasons?
