Hero Shade: Topshop's Parma Violet

The first nail polish I bought from Topshop was Parma Violet. I still have the polish even though it is unusable. The reason for this is that I couldn't find it anywhere and couldn't bear to part with it. I have tried to revive it but it's beyond repair. So imagine my delight when I saw that for their fifth birthday Topshop Beauty has released Parma Violet in gorgeous, limited edition, rose gold packaging. Of course I snapped it up straight away. I might even go get another to keep as spare!

I'm not actually sure if Parma Violet has been discontinued. I have searched for it everywhere and have found similar shades in store but not my beloved. I do have a dupe of sorts in Barry M's Prickly Pear but there is something about the Topshop version that makes me warm inside. It's probably the cute packaging as the shades are actually incredibly close.

For today's look I took inspiration from the new cute packaging and used Models Own's Chrome Rose* to paint some polka dots over two accent nails. The base shade is an off white from the old Models Own Pro collection called French Ivory. I don't think you can buy this anymore but any off white shade would work just as well.

I also bought another polish from the special edition range: Green Room. It's not one that I've tried in the past but it looks similar to Barry M's Greenberry which is one of my all time fave shades. Are you tempted by the re-release of some of Topshop's best selling products?
