Pretty Polka Dots with GOSH

lilac spring nail art
It's always good to start your week on a high note, so we're starting with these cute Spring nails. Pretty nails are a sure-fire way to make Monday's more bearable!

French Dream* by GOSH is a beautiful polish for Spring. We swatched their whole SS15 collection for you here, but this is one of the stand-outs for me. I struggle to find wearable purples as often they can look a bit childish. This one is super pale and beautiful and the formula is lovely. It compares well with Lilac Sheen by Models Own but I find the GOSH formula better, it's less gloopy, easier to work with, opaque in two coats and the rounded flat brush is great!

I used Ciate - Fit For A Queen silver for an accent nail. I wasn't originally intending to include an accent but I messed up the middle nail and decided not to replace it with the same design. The dots are cute, but they're a little boring. I think the silver accent give the mani something a little extra, plus the polish is really sparkly so I get totally mesmerised by it!

The tiny dots were drawn on with a Barry M nail art pen (standard!) and I got the idea from Emma's Primadonna Girl mani last week. Grouping together little clusters of dots turns a quick and simple polka dot mani into something a little more special. It reminds me a of broderie anglaise, so pretty and girly - maybe that's something we should try out this summer!

Are you as happy as we are that Spring has finally arrived?

We'd love to know what you think of this design, please leave comments below!!
