Glitter Florals

We're a little bit excited about Spring, had you noticed? Today I went for a floral, glitter and bright white mix - perfect for catching those first hopeful rays of sunshine! This mani didn't turn out quite how I wanted it to and it's definitely not one of my best attempts at florals but I thought I'd share it anyway.

The glitter base is Dinner Dance from Primark and the white is new Cotton* Gelly by Barry M. I love white nails for Spring/Summer but it's not the easiest colour to wear, by using it in a mix and match you can get the best of both worlds! Florals seemed like the perfect accompaniment and the glitter just adds some extra fun. This mani would be great for a festival or summer party!

As I mentioned, I'm not that pleased with how the florals came out this time. The actual flowers are ok but the leaves are bit a blobby which ruins the overall effect. I'm annoyed that I didn't notice this until after I'd taken the photos so couldn't fix it.

Using glitter underneath the florals looks great, but you do end up with quite fat nails. I chose a glitter that had good coverage in a few coats, but it's still a lot thicker than regular polish!

Are you as excited about lighter evenings and a little bit of warmth as we are??

Love,
