Muted January Florals

Cute Floral Nail Art
I've been a bit slow off the mark this year as my camera went awol and my other one did not take good pictures at all. So I've let poor Jo pick up the slack - sorry Jo! Exciting news today though, my camera has returned and I got a light box for Christmas so I will be able to create designs all day and night. Woohoo!

I played around with a few designs but decided florals would be my first design for 2015. I am afraid that I still love them and will no doubt be doing more this year. I will try and shake things up a bit in terms of colours and styles but I will always come back to this kind for comfort.

The base of this design is Barry M's Lychee, one of my fave shades. I originally used brighter colours for the flowers but they didn't work so switched to MUA's Moody Mink and Lush Lilac (which is actually a baby pink rather than lilac). For the leaves I used MUA's Pistachio. For £1 MUA nail polishes are OK quality and the range of colours is pretty good. I'm not sure how they fare for a long-term mani but for things like this, they're perfect.

Jo and I will be meeting next week for some strategising so please let us know if there are any changes you want to see this year. We are open to anything so let us know in the comments below.
