Midwinter Beach Nails!

I'm off to a wedding this weekend and wearing an all black outfit. I wouldn't usually wear all black to a wedding but it's an evening event in the middle of winter, so I figured it was ok. To counter the darkness of my outfit I decided to go for bright and sparkly nails. It feels a bit naughty to bring out Models Own Polish For Tans range in midwinter but I needed a bit of warmth in my life!

I started this mani with a white base (for extra glow) and the added two coats of Beach Bag, the coral polish from Polish For Tans. I absolutely love this colour and have missed it over the last few months! Pure coral nails was a bit much so I broke it up a bit by adding some glitter. I'm not sure the glitter helps to tone it down much but you know what I'm getting at! I used one of Rimmel's Glitterbomb top coats, Bling Thing* for a cute glitter fade. I love how the different glitter sizes spread across the nail. I added a matte topcoat for the photos, but think I may go glossy for the main event.

We love bold and bright colours all year round, you may have noticed that we've refused to stick to 'wintery' shades this year. Do you like wearing pastel neons in winter too, or do you stick to darker more muted shades to match the season?

Love,
