Floral Little Bo Peep

So now we're in the New Year it must be almost spring right?? We're trying to encourage the daylight to come back and the sun to show it's face with some cheerful floral nails today.

To account for the fact it's still well and truly winter I used a cool grey base of Rimmel - Little Bo Peep. This is one of our favourite greys and it's a beautiful pale shade. The only drawback is that the formula is fairly thin so you need three coats for good coverage.

I used a pink Barry M nail art pen to draw on the main body of the flowers and for the additional polka dots between them. I then outlined the flowers using a neon pink nail art pen which I think I bought on Amazon ages ago. Finally I added a white centre to each flower with Barry M's white nail art pen.

This design was really simple to create, but I didn't really know where I was going with it when I started, which I think you can tell. It came out better that I had expected but I think that's more down to luck than skill! I really love how the hot pink works against the cool grey - that was a happy accident!

  2. It looks really cute Jo!! And honestly, I really can't tell that you didn't know where you were going with this at first, I think the placement of the flowers and the dots look great!
