Glitter Daisies

I've got no idea where this sixties-esque design idea came from but I thought it was pretty cute. I started with a base of Barry M's Limited Edition glitter from last winter. This took forever as I tried sponging it on to get a more even layer. I'd seen the technique on Instagram so wanted to try it, but found it quite tricky. It also took me an age to get all the glitter out of my cuticles!!

Once I'd finished the glitter base I realised I hadn't even though of what nail art to do. I've seen flowers over glitter somewhere before so decided to try that. I used a dotting tool to add the white petals and a smaller tool for the gold centres. I find when I use a yellow centre with white petals the flowers can end up looking like fried eggs!!

Unfortunately glitter is really hard to photograph and these pictures do not do the mani justice at all! The glitter is so sparkly with holo pieces and the daisies really stand out well against it. You'll just have to take my word for it!

  1. I love it! I have to try this too sometime, I would be able to blind people with all the sparkliness! I'm loving the 60's vibe a lot too :)
