Happy Birthday Izzy!

This weekend my sister-in-law turned 30, so of course we had to create some jazzy nails for her party! Izzy decided that she wanted to incorporate the year she was born, 1984, and her age into the mani. The colour theme was black and gold to coordinate with her gorgeous dress.

Each nail started with two coats of Barry M - Espresso as a base. I then drew on 1984 on the fingers, and a 3 and 0 on each thumb with a white nail art pen. Using a small brush I filled the numbers in with Barry M - Gold Foil Effects, leaving a thin white outline. Finally I added Models Own - Gold Finger. They're super glossy thanks to a generous coat of Seche Vite to finish!

We were on nails and cake duty this weekend so my sister and I knocked up a quick and simple (yeh right!) Formula One cake, complete with a mini Lewis Hamilton!

We had a great weekend with all the nail art, baking and of course, partying!! Excited for more fun like this as we enter the full on party season woohoo!

Love,

  1. Oh wow that cake looks amazing! I wouldn't be able to eat it because I would be so sorry to destroy the cake :) The birthday nails are super cute! I love that you put some glitter inside the numbers :)
