Review: Rimmel's Mary Mary Quite Contrary

Mary Mary Quite Contrary is a polish that Jo and I have used on many occasions (like here and here). I wore it on my nails today and thought that it really deserved to be shown to our lovely readers in all its glory as it really is one of the most beautiful shades.
Mary Mary is a pretty combination of girly and classy which makes it a great base for all kinds of nail art. I'd call it a lilacy-grey, a bit similar to Utopia by Models Own in that it's a bit of a hard shade to describe. It is a sheer polish that takes a good few coats to get opaque. Like most Rimmel polishes this one applies like a dream. The brush shape really helps to get good coverage and the formula is thin yet not overly watery so you get good colour.
I decided on a simple leopard print to go over this base to let the lovely colour show through. I used my black Barry M nail art pen to draw on the shapes and topped everything off with a coat of Seche.

I'm sure you'll be seeing this shade again on the blog as we can't get enough of it.

Do you have any go-to shades that you think we should try?
