Mint Creams

Emma predicted that you would be seeing a lot of the two coconut shades that came out this summer by Barry M and Models Own and she was spot on! Today I used Models Own's scented Coconut Cream. The shades are very similar and both the perfect base for nail art.

I'm not sure what inspired this design, I just had a sudden urge to mix cream and mint in some way. The finished design really reminds me of something but I can't place exactly what. The best I've come up with is deck chairs or an old fashioned shop canopy! I must have had seaside towns on the brain as we've just booked our summer holiday, better late than never! The boyf and I are finally getting away for a break together and it is well overdue.

The other polish I used for this cute but simple design is Mint Green from Barry M. It's a lovely mint green and brilliant polish for nail art as the formula is thin and easy to work with. I used a striping brush to apply thick stripes, starting at the base of each nail and dragging upwards.

These seem like very British nails to me, although that was totally unintentional. Have you created any designs that end up reminding you of something other than your inspiration?
