Geometric Hen Nails

This weekend I had the pleasure of doing some hen party nail art for the bride to be and one of her hens. Both ladies chose geometric designs which I was very chuffed about as you know they're my fave!

Abby had black and white geometric tips with a turquoise base. I used Barry M - Cancun* and their black and white nail pens. The camera hasn't quite got the colours true to life, it seems to have darkened the polish a little. The black and white tips stand out really well against the deep turquoise base. Perfect party nails!

Alessia went for another turquoise look, this time with a brighter shade, Greenberry, also by Barry M. We decided on geometric print as an accent nail incorporating Models Own Bora Bora gold glitter, Coconut Cream and neon yellow Bikini. To create this design I started with a Coconut Crean base and drew drew a grid of dots using a white nail pen. Using the dots as a template I added the triangles freehand with a small brush, alternating the colours randomly. We added Bora Bora to the pinky for a bit of extra sparkle! I love how this turned out, there's just enough neon yellow to catch the eye, and not enough to make it garish.

Hopefully these nails will help the ladies smile through their hangovers this morning!!

Is it acceptable to keep creating neon geometric designs throughout winter? I'm just not sure how I'll get that pop with wintery shades!
