Playboy Stars

Hot Violet*, In The 90's*
We were recently sent a couple of Playboy polishes to try out. I've never tried Playboy makeup before so were quite intrigued to see what they'd be like. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting too much. I was gladly mistaken as these polishes turned out to be really cool!

We received Hot Violet*, a super bright fushia pink, and In The 90's*, a solid silver polish. Both formulas were smooth, even and opaque within two coats. The silver glitter pieces are visible, so it's not a chrome, but it catches the light really nicely and almost sparkles. Hot Violet* doesn't look that wonderful in the bottle but it transforms on your nails. It's so bright I couldn't stop looking at it and the colour is really fun! It's a little more purple than my other neon pinks so I can see it coming in handy during the rest of the summer months.

Of course we had to test this duo out with some nail art. I'm not sure I'd put pink and silver together in normal circumstances, but thought I'd see how well the two polished worked together. It's definitely not an everyday colour combo but it's kind of fun!

I drew black stars on with a nail art pen and then filled them in with In The 90's. I love this design, and might try it again with some pastels or other slightly more subtle polishes!

You can get some more info about these polishes, and where to buy them via the Playboy Make Up UK Twitter page - here.
