Fruity Figs

We love fruit nails and fun art prints. Today's design encompasses them both! We were inspired by this fig print by Georgiana Paraschiv, which we spotted on Pinterest. Figs don't look like much from the outside, but are bright and pretty on this inside. We love how Georgiana mixed both whole and halved figs in her print, to show what is hiding inside!

We used a mixture of polished for this design: Essie - Cocktail Bling, Rimmel - Seduce*, Models Own - Utopia and Barry M - Grapefruit and White nail art pen.

When the Cocktail Bling base was dry I added on the fig shapes using a white nail art pen. Although I added them in a uniform pattern I tried to make each fig a little different. On top of each shape I added the purpley-grey skin of the figs, created using a mix of Cocktail Bling and Seduce*, leaving some figs outs. On the leftover figs I added detailing of the fruity filling. Starting with Utopia, then Grapefruit I layered up the gradienting pinks of the flesh. Finally I added some seeds with a small brush and black polish.

I love the colour combo used in this mani as the pink really stands out. I don't think I've seen any fig nail art before either, it's always fun to create new designs.

Love,

    1. It is the most amazing colour. It will look great through into autumn/winter too so worth spending the extra pennies! E&J.xx
