Sweet As Apple Pie

This mani came about as I was swatching lipsticks for my other blog. I was holding up some peachy lippie shades and decided I wanted a mint colour on my nails to compliment. I then added polka dots with a nail pen to make it a little cuter.

After snapping my lippies I had a cup of tea and realised that my nails matched my cup. The only difference was that there were no little flowers on my mani so I got out my dotting tool and added some. I used pink though rather than beige to make my look a bit more summer friendly. As I'd used a green background I did use beige for the leaves.

The base of this mani is Models Own's Apple Pie which I had forgotten just how much I loved. It is a really fresh mint shade that pops as a background for nail art. I don't know if there is something wrong with me but I can't detect the smell of apples, apple pies, or anything other than nail polish but a sweet fragrance isn't something I usually look for in a varnish so it's all good!

See our original swatch of Apple Pie here.

  1. This looks so cute! I love your cup, the print looks gorgeous and it works really well on your nails! The Apple Pie polish looks great too, I only own mint shades that are pastel-ish and not very bright so this is a nice change :)

    1. I have a la-hot of mint greens too and this one is quite different from the rest as it is bright but not overly so. This photo has no filter either so it is actually that colour. Emma.x
