My Mum recently dug out some old photos. When sorting through them I noticed that I had some pretty cool clothes back then. Other than the dozens of pairs of dungarees there were some cute little swimming costumes I almost wish I had now! This cherry covered number inspired me to do some nails based on the design.
I've done tons of nail art designs on a white base recently so I decided to mix it up slightly and use a cream/nude base instead. In hindsight I think white may have worked better.
I used Models Own - Cloud 9 as the base, and a variety of Barry M's for the detailing. To draw on the cherries I used a dotting tool and a small brush.
Do you have any swimwear which might inspire some nail art?
Love,
When I look back at old pictures of when I was really young, I'm always so jealous of the awesome clothes I wore and I wish they'd still fit me haha. This cherry design is super cute on your nails and on the bathing suit! :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! My aunt used to make me some awesome of ensembles and I had tons of 80s hand-me-downs! J x
DeleteI love the photo - you look so cute! The cherries look so cute on your nails too and are so detailed! :)
ReplyDeleteAw thank you! They're a little messy but love how they turned out! X
DeleteHello there! I'm Anna from yesterday's fblchat! Those cherries look reaaaaally good! I also scrolled down and checked your previous posts as well and I am in awe of your nail designs!! I own a dotting tool and a tiny brush but I admit I'm not that good at nail art!
ReplyDeleteHi Anna, welcome to Dahlia Nails!! There is SO MUCH you can do with a dotting tool and small brush, florals, polka dots etc etc. We've got some tutorials on here if you want to try some new designs. Also on most of our posts we explain how we've created the design. Practise makes perfect! E&J xx
