Pineapple Surprise

You may have already noticed that Emma and I love H&M! You've seen plenty of their polish on here as Emma barely goes a week without adding to her collection, but I noticed that we haven't had any H&M inspired designs yet.

I spotted the two patterns above in store recently and had to give them a go. Also, Emma posted some pineapple nail art a while ago and I was jealous so wanted to try my own. I love the injection of summer colours/themes onto a dark wintery base, it reminds me that the sun may come out again sometime! You can do the same by adding florals to a darker base like we did here.

I simplified the pineapples a little as they had to be tiny to fit on my short nails and I didn't want them to turn into a big mess. My black Models Own nail art pen was perfect for this design as you can control the thickness to keep it nice and neat. To ensure the yellow and green were bright and vibrant I started with a white background, painted on the colours with a small brush, then added the detailing and filled in the white spaces with a nail art pen.

For the middle finger I started with a black base, drew on white triangles with a nail art pen and then outlined them in yellow with a small brush, easy peasy!

How do you bring some sunshine to your winter manis?
