Aztec Copper

This mani was inspired by Nail Swag, her nails are incredible and some of the designs are so intricate! I spotted a simple Aztec design featured in a mix and match mani on Instagram recently and had to make my own version. I love an Aztec nail design and this one is so simple and quick to do.

I feel like there has been an abundance of glitter around over Christmas and New Year (which we loved!) but still fancied a bit of sparkle. As a compromise I chose Barry M's metallic Copper polish. It's a gorgeous colour made up from a mixture of tiny glitter flecks. It's not as dense as a foil effects polish but is opaque within two coats. I love copper nail polish as it's not quite as bright and eye catching as gold, making it a little more wearable.

I usually associate Aztec designs with summer as they often include bright colours, but using copper as the base brings the design nicely in line with a wintery wardrobe.

Love,
