Vintage Florals

Our first attempt at Cath Kidston nail art was apparently a huge success as we have had lots of requests for more. One of our fans liked it so much, she asked for her own version!

We chose a blue and pink colour theme using Rimmel's Mind The Gap, Victoria and Barry M's Strawberry Ice Cream as the base. Again, the designs were inspired by gorgeous vintage fabrics from Cath Kidston, which we adapted to suit nail art.

Accents interspersed with simple nails works so well with vintage floral nail designs. As the florals can be quite dominant it is lovely to mix these in with something cute and simple like dots.

Due to the delicate nature of these designs they were all drawn on by hand using small nail art brushes. I used a nail art pen for the dots and some highlighting. Flowers look super impressive but are actually really easy to do. We have done a tutorial here so give them a go! We'd love to see your results via Twitter @dahlia_nails or IG @dahlianails

This is a pretty summery mani overall, but the colour of the blue reminds me of the sky on a freezing cold winter morning.

Love,
