Nail Inspo: Kenzo Clutch

I bought this Kenzo pouch way back in the summer sales because I adore the clashing red and pink pattern. I decided to try the design on my nails and was so pleased with the outcome that I thought I'd do a little tutorial for y'all.

This design is so easy to recreate. I even managed to do it on my right hand - something I almost never attempt as I am shocking at it. I used two Barry M nail paints for this look: Shocking Pink and Rasberry. The nail pen is one I purchased in Primark in a pack of 2 for £2. I also used a small nail brush to paint the pink splodges.

Now for the step by step...

1. After your base coat, paint your nails with two coats of your red base colour. Allow to dry.
2. Using the small nail brush dot a mixture of big and little spots all over the nail. These don't have to be perfect as you can cover mistakes with the nail pen. Allow to dry.
3. Using your black nail pen outline all of the pink splodges. Allow to dry.
4. Add a top coat to your design for a smooth result. I used Sally Hansen's No Chip Acrylic Topcoat and was relieved that it didn't smudge.

Sorry for the sheen on this pic, I could not get my nails at a good angle but hopefully you get the gist. I was so pleased with the way these turned out that I chose to do my other hand so that I could wear them for my birthday. Sad I know but it's the little things in life!

Let us know if you give them a go. You can tweet us @dahlia_nails or mention us in an instagram post @dahlianails. We'd love to see some different colour combos too.
